Dallas Mavericks. It seems like this team always enters the season with high hopes, only to quietly exit during the first round of the playoffs. With some big additions in Shawn Marion and others, Dirk and Jason Kidd have a nice core in place now. Josh Howard's effectiveness will be a question mark, and the development of Barea will be key.

Boston Celtics. A top-tier team that got a boost with the addition of veteran Rasheed Wallace. No matter how good and dangerous they are, the Celtics are one year older and we saw last year what can happen to this team without its start, Kevin Garnett. Garnett's injury was a crippling blow to Boston and while they're somewhat effective without him, they're not championship caliber. Not even Sheed can fill KG's shoes.

Cleveland Cavs. Cleveland sees another year of LeBron, and at 25, he should still be on the way up. The addition of Shaq will have more of an impact than many anticipate and his veteran presence should go a really long way in bringing this team to another level and firming things up.

The bench won't see too much playing time outside of 10-12 minutes so all they need to do is keep the leads while the starters rest. LeBron... the best player in the league... behind Kobe. Quit playing the stats and play with your team. Steal Kobe's menacing look and get your team in the game. Your assists are great, your dunks are spectacular but Orlando seemed to let you score 40+PPG and do what you wanted, when you wanted and still beat you in 6 games (should have been a sweep if you didn't make that lucky 3-pointer with a hand in your face). You are a small forward. When you are playing PG the team seems to want to watch the next LeBron ESPN highlight. Demand more of them like Kobe has done with the Lakers and your championship should come this year.

Orlando Magic. The victors in last year's Eastern Conference finals knocked out both Boston (though without Garnett) and Cleveland, to the surprise of many. They've lost Hedo Turkoglu and Courtney Lee, both valuable pieces, but the additions of Vince Carter, Matt Barnes, and Brandon Bass should more than make up for that in the eyes of most. Vince Carter's impact on a team is questionable seeing as how the Nets have fallen from grace these past few years, but with the right fit, the Magic will look better than before and remain the team to beat in the East.

Outranked by many on the junior circuit and never the most able player in Russia during her childhood, Chakvetadze fought hard to climb the ranks as a junior.

Chakvetadze took a few years as a pro before finally finding her way in 2006. With wins in Guangzhou and Moscow at the end of the year, Chakvetadze broke through as a pro. This was the beginning of a run that would bring her game to another level.

Chakvetadze kept her family close to her during her ascent, and this greatly benefited her mental state. It's often difficult for a young pro to travel around the world alone, without the support of their family. I did a few things different this year both in preparing for my draft and in basic strategy on draft day. They are a bit unconventional but I am confident that they will pay off when its all said and done. Look them over and see if you think I'm crazy or onto something.

Generally speaking, I'm always fully aware of everything going on around the league, but before a draft, I take it to another level. I think I've been too into the idea of studying up.

It definitely didn't help me since the past few years have actually been some of my worst (top five finishes both seasons in both leagues but only in the money once - not living up to my standards). It was time to lighten the load and step back a bit.

Second, I did some reverse draft strategy this year for the 19th season of one of my two leagues. In other words I do not subscribe to the "must have a running back in the first two rounds" strategy.

It seems like each of the last few seasons, my running backs have let me down so I chose to go with a growing trend that shows that wide receivers are the best bets during the first two rounds. However, I decided to take a QB with one of the two picks.

So, my goal going into my draft was I wanted two top ten QB's (as I said we start two) and two top ten WR (we start 3) before taking a RB. Here's how the entire draft turned out. See if you think I have a team that can compete.

Anyway, I decided to take Tom Brady with my first pick (at #5), and then I took Andre Johnson, who led the league in receiving yards last year, on the way back. I wanted another top receiver from here, and Greg Jennings fit the bill in the third round. Next, I chose Matt Schaub at QB in the 4th round of the draft.

From there, it was time for some running backs, and I was lucky enough to snag Ronnie Brown and Pierre Thomas with these picks. I have really high hopes for Thomas, so I was especially happy with that pick.

This is truly my favorite time of the sports year. Not because of the beginnings of NFL preseason. Not because of my fantasy football drafts. Not because of the MLB pennant race that's heating up, and not because of the upcoming college sports season. It's all because of a little known event, beloved in England.

This is the FA Cup, a one of a kind tournament, the likes of which can't be compared to anything that takes place in the US. This is a massive tournament that allows soccer teams of all sizes to compete equally against one another for a chance at glory.

You may be wondering what sets this event apart from the rest, and what makes it better. It's the sheer size of it all. Very few events have as many contestants as 762 from the start, and very few have as many rounds (14) as the FA Cup happens to have. The beauty of this all is not only the single round elimination format, but the fact that teams of all levels have the chance to compete with one another.

Huge teams like Manchester United compete against virtual unknowns. Think of a baseball team, not even a minor league team. A team that plays in some kind of regional league that you've never heard of. To put it into baseball terms, teams like these have chances to compete against teams like the Yankees and Red Sox, giving every English soccer club a fair chance at glory.

This is where legends are made. Take the Cup from 20 years ago, where Sutton United ousted Coventry City, a premier team. Sutton United wasn't even a member of a league, akin to an amateur recreational team. Then there's the 1975 contest, where amateur team Wimbledon FC ousted premier team Burnley and then went so far as a draw with the defending champs Lees in the third round.

The beauty of it all lies within the dream that it allows for, combined with the shock value that comes with massive upsets. It gives the lesser teams a chance, if for all but a moment, to feel big, and prove its worth against the giants of the soccer world.

Imagine March Madness on steroids. This is like the NCAA tournament, only better. Instead of 64 teams (which we see as huge), it's 762. Imagine the possibilities with so many teams, and think of all the teams you'll never have heard of.

To make it even better, this tournament lasts for 10 months per year. Everyone loves March Madness, and expresses their sadness once the two weeks end. This can't even compare when you look at the length. Watch this wonderful event if you possibly can, you won't regret it.
